Project consists of providing and installing a new vehicle fuel system at the Carlisle CSD Bus Building. Work includes installation of the Owner-provided above-ground fuel tank, demolition and removal of the existing underground fuel tank, and removal of associated dispenser and system components. The work scope includes all General, Civil, Electrical, and Fuel System Work. Bids must be submitted on a lump sum basis for a single Combined Construction Contract. Bids must use the approved bid form available in the Bidding Documents, and no oral, facsimile, electronic, or telephonic bids or modifications will be considered. Each Bidder is required to accompany their bid with bid security in a separate, sealed envelope as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, in an amount equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the bid, in the form of a cashier's check, certified check, certified share draft, or Bid Bond with corporate Surety satisfactory to the Board. The successful Bidder must furnish, within ten (10) days of the award, proof of insurance as required by the Bid Documents, as well as a Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond both in the amount equal to 100% of the Contract Price. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of sixty (60) calendar days after the date and hour set for opening of bids. The Board of Directors may award the contract to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting specifications, and reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informalities. Minority and Targeted Small Business participation is encouraged, and a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and/or produced within the State of Iowa. Failure to submit a fully completed Bidder Status Form with the bid may result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive and rejected.
