The Loma Linda VA Healthcare System seeks a qualified contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and disposal necessary for the rehabilitation and enhancement of approximately 50,000 square feet of stabilized decomposed granite (DG) landscape areas campus-wide. The work includes: DG restoration, vegetation removal, soil preparation, DG placement and compaction, irrigation removal, installation, and repair; installation of 100 sq ft of sod turf and associated preparation; adjustment and installation of irrigation components to support new plant layouts, ensuring irrigation does not overspray DG surfaces; furnishing and installing eighty 5-gallon shrubs and multiple specified plant types at designated campus locations; installation of 2,400 sq ft of Arizona river rock and 200 linear yards of bender board edging; installation of a retaining wall section and weed barrier where specified; furnishing and installing forty 8-ft wooden tree stakes (two per tree); and providing reports summarizing test results and maintenance recommendations within 30 days of work completion. Licensing requirements include a 30-hour OSHA General Contractor License, C-27 Landscaping Contractor license, and CIT Certification. Contractor personnel must have valid VA badges, conform to safety and regulatory standards, provide PPE, follow parking and smoking policies, and promptly respond to complaints. Only services specified are authorized; additional work requires prior CO approval. No government equipment will be used.
