Renovation of a municipal facility in Canonsburg, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The project includes replacement of the asphalt shingle roofing of the Borough Building, sheathing, vents, flashing, fascias, soffits, gutters, and downspouts. Sealed bids are to be submitted online via PennBid prior to the specified deadline, at which time they will be electronically unsealed and the results shared publicly via PennBid. All bid documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at the PennBid website. Bidders are required to provide Bid Security in an amount equal to 10% of the total amount bid. Bid Security may be provided in the form of a certified check or a bid bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to transact such business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Upon award of a contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract value. Upon completion of the contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the final contract value. Bidders are required to comply with the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act of 1961, P.L. 987, No. 442, where the project cost is $25,000 or above for public work. Questions Due Date: Apr 27th 2026, 12:00 PM EDT The Borough of Canonsburg is planning to replace the roof of the combined municipal services building. The existing roofing materials include asphalt shingles and plywood sheathing and sections of flat ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) roof. The scope of this project includes the replacement of the shingled/sloped roof only. The base bid work consists of but is not limited to removing and replacing roofing materials including all shingles, roof sheathing, vents, flashing, fascias, soffits, gutters, and downspouts as directed by the Engineer. The scope of work is more fully described in the project specifications herein and on the project plans.
