The project includes replacement of the asphalt shingle roofing of the Borough Building, sheathing, vents, flashing, fascias, soffits, gutters, and downspouts. Sealed bids are to be submitted online via PennBid prior to the specified deadline, at which time they will be electronically unsealed and the results shared publicly via PennBid. All bid documents and solicitation details are available at no cost at the PennBid website. Bidders are required to provide Bid Security in an amount equal to 10% of the total amount bid. Bid Security may be provided in the form of a certified check or a bid bond issued by a Surety Company licensed to transact such business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Upon award of a contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a Performance Bond and a Labor and Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the awarded contract value. Upon completion of the contract, the Successful Bidder shall provide a 2-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of 100% of the final contract value. The existing roofing materials include asphalt shingles and plywood sheathing and sections of flat ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) roof. The scope of this project includes the replacement of the shingled/sloped roof only. The base bid work consists of but is not limited to removing and replacing roofing materials including all shingles, roof sheathing, vents, flashing, fascias, soffits, gutters, and downspouts as directed by the Engineer.
