Site work and paving for a road / highway in Glenmoore, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project includes approximately 32,853 square yards of Bituminous Seal Coat (Oil & Chip) double coat application per PennDOT Publication 408 and PennDOT specifications; the first application uses 1/2" aggregate, and the second application uses 1/4" aggregate. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of ten percent of the total amount of the bid and shall be effective for 90 days from the date of opening. The successful low bidder must provide a 100% performance bond or certified check and a 100% payment bond or certified check within 20 days after the contract is awarded. Bids must be made upon the forms furnished by the municipality. The municipality reserves the right to waive any non-material defects or irregularities in the bid, and to reject any or all bids or portions thereof. Liquidated damages apply at the rate of $885.00 per calendar day. The successful bidder must comply with the Fed E-verify program to ensure employees are authorized to work in the U.S. per Act 127.
