Site work for a water / sewer project in Jeffersonville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Work to be done shall include furnishing all products and equipment and performing all labor necessary to construct the following: installation of approximately 3,000 linear feet of 12-inch PVC Water Main, approximately 20 linear feet of 6-inch Ductile Iron Hydrant Lead, 18-inch Jack and Bore Steel Casing in GDOT Right-of-Way, installation of new fire hydrants, valves, fittings, water main terminations, grassing, erosion control items, and all other appurtenances necessary to complete the project in accordance with the Technical Specifications and Construction Drawings. This project will be awarded in one contract. Bids must be received at the specified location by the designated date and time. Late bids will not be considered. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of sixty days after the closing time except as specifically provided. The contractor must provide proof of a valid license by the State of Georgia as a Utility Contractor and must employ a Utility Manager certification holder to oversee all utility work. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified cashier’s check in an amount not less than 10% of the base bid. Performance and Payment Bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the contract price, will be required of the successful bidder. All qualifying contractors and subcontractors must register and participate in the federal work authorization program known as E-Verify. A properly completed Affidavit of Compliance with O.C.G.A. §13-10-91 must be submitted with the bid. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids for any reason.
