Last day for bidder questions 05/22/2026 Peabody Municipal Light Plant will receive proposals for the LM5000 Upper Exhaust Stack Replacement. All bids must be submitted with the completed Bid Form provided in the specifications. If additional space is required, it should be noted on a supplemental attachment under the bidder's letterhead entitled 'Remarks,' which will become part of the Bid Form. The Bid Form must be without interlineations, alterations, or changes in phraseology and should be enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked on the outside with the bidder's name, address, and labeled 'BID: LM5000 Upper Exhaust Stack Replacement.' Three copies of all bids, along with two electronic copies saved to a thumb drive labeled with the bidder's name and Project Contract Number, must be submitted in a sealed envelope properly marked with the title of the bid and delivered to the address specified. The scanned copy on the thumb drive should include all required signatures and forms. Bidders are responsible for examining the specifications and related documents, and for procuring information concerning prevailing wage rates to be paid as determined by the Massachusetts Office of the Attorney General. The contractor is required to pay these rates and indemnify and hold harmless the Peabody Municipal Light Plant and its representatives for failure to pay the prevailing wage or comply with any other applicable provision of law. The Peabody Municipal Lighting Commission reserves the right to reject any or all bids as authorized by law.
