The project consists of private side water service replacements from the curb stop and box to the meter for approximately 16 individual services in the City of Marshfield, WI. Service replacement includes, but is not limited to, the curb stop and box; the service line material must be 1 inch type K copper or cross-linked polyethylene (PEX). All site restoration, both exterior and interior, must be replaced with in-kind materials. Exterior restoration may include concrete or asphaltic pavement, turf, and possibly curb and gutter where necessary. Restoration of any interior private structure to connect the water service to the meter location must be done with like materials and may vary by structure. Bids must be completed according to the Bidding Documents prepared by SEH. Bid security in the amount of 5 percent of the bid must accompany each submission. Bidders must also submit Proof of Responsibility. All iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials must be produced in the United States under the Build America, Buy America requirements. Contractors must comply with Federal Davis-Bacon wage rates, employment conditions, and Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements. The owner encourages MBEs, WBEs, and SBRAs to submit bids. The owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and informalities, and to award the contract in the best interests of the city. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Owner in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all parties recorded as having received the Bidding Documents.
