Renovation of a military facility in Sussex, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 31,000-square-foot military facility.
The work consists of the removal and replacement of the existing roof membrane in kind at the Sussex Readiness Center at W238N5678 Maple Ave, Sussex, WI 53089. The existing roof membrane is an approximate 31,000 SF ballasted 45 mill EPDM. The project is to include, but not limited to, new stone ballast, new deck board, flashing, coping, parapet cap, gutter(s), and downspout(s). The roof insulation value is to be brought up to R-25. All potential bidders must be certified by the Department of Administration prior to submitting bids on state construction projects over $100,000. All bids received from contractors who are not certified will be rejected. This project is let using the single prime bidding and contracting process. The state will enter into a single contract with the lowest, qualified, responsible, certified general prime contractor, who will then enter into subcontracts with successful mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP) bidders if applicable. Bid submissions must be received as a PDF scanned file of all required bid documents (through the eBuilder Bidding Portal, preferred), or by mail, third-party delivery, or hand delivery. The bidder is responsible for ensuring timely delivery. Bid Guarantee in the amount of 10% of the Bid must accompany each bid submitted. Contract offer and construction phase records will be processed electronically via eBuilder.
