Electronic bids will be received through Bid Express for the City Center Activity Area Playground project. Each bid must include the full name(s) of the party or parties submitting, an affidavit as to interested parties, and for corporations not chartered in Ohio, certification for doing business in Ohio. Bids must be accompanied by a certified or cashier's check or bid bond for at least ten percent (10%) of the total bid. All bidders must ensure non-discrimination in employment. Contractors and subcontractors are to use, where practicable, Ohio products, materials, services, and labor. Compliance with Ohio equal employment opportunity requirements and prevailing wage rates for Portage County is required. The selected bidder must provide a Performance Bond, General Liability Insurance naming the City as additional insured for at least $1,000,000, and evidence of Workers' Compensation coverage prior to contract execution. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to accept any bid deemed most favorable.
