Reference Number 0000420744 The scope of work includes open-cut excavation, sewer main and lateral replacement, drainage structure reconstruction, and related site restoration services. The project consists of the following major items with their approximate quantities: 600 L.F. 6"-dia. sewer lead repair in back easement or right-of-way with variable depth 720 L.F. Sewer main repair with variable diameter & variable depth in the back easement or right-of-way. 100 V.F. Drainage structure rebuilding - Scope of Work for 6"- Dia. Sewer Lead Repair: Place 1-inch-thick plywood or rubber tire over the sidewalk, driveway apron, driveway and grass area. Remove fence (wood or chain-link), excavate, install shoring system in accordance with the current OSHA/MIOSHA regulations, replace 9 linear feet of 6-inch diameter sanitary sewer lead (house lead) for two houses or one house as indicted in the schedule of bid items table with SCH-40 PVC, Fernco connections, PVC bends, Fernco connector between PVC and vitrified clay pipe, stone bedding, make connection to existing City sewer main with vitrified clay pipe and encased with mortar, backfill trench with excavated material and stock pile left over excavation as a mound of dirt with 10ft x 10ft area, and restore fence. Remove and replace shrubs, small trees as necessary and replant them at the completion of repair to the best of contractor's ability. - The work shall consist of excavation, disposal, grading, compacted backfill, trench bracing, concrete paving, reinforcing steel, miscellaneous iron, cold milling of asphalt surface, asphalt resurfacing, removal and/or replacement of bituminous & concrete pavement, sidewalks, sidewalk ramps, curbs, aprons, conduit, under drains, sanitary sewer, storm sewer and water main construction, testing and disinfection of water main, television inspection of sewers, installation of drainage structures, gate valve structures, restoration as shown in the plans and specified herein, and all necessary traffic control devices to maintain pedestrian and vehicular traffic as required and as directed by the Engineer. All items of work or material not included in the bid shall be considered as incidental work and should be reflected in said bid prices. The Contractor shall furnish all equipment, tools, labor, supervision, materials and appurtenances and provide all other items that may be necessary to all the work as shown in the plans and specified herein.
