Renovation of an educational facility in Lowell, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The Project consists of but not limited to : Roof Replacement and Associated Work Including Rooftop Equipment Relocation and Enabling . Masonry Roofing and Flashing, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical Work. It is the intent of this project to disconnect, raise, and reconnect the rooftop equipment in preparation for the roof replacement. The building's nuclear operations equipment is extremely sensitive to shutdowns. All shutdowns must be coordinated carefully with the building occupants and Owner's representative. Maximum allowable shutdown times for each piece of rooftop equipment are noted in the drawings. Once the mechanical equipment has been raised, the roof systems will be removed and replaced. Miscellaneous related work related to the brick masonry, sheet metal flashings, doors, and ladders are also required. Location- Pinanski Hall 205 Riverside Street, Lowell, MA 01854 Contractor Qualification DCAMM Certificate Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The work is estimated to cost $ 2,320,000.00 . Completion- 120 consecutive calendar days. General bidders must agree to contract with minority, women and veteran-owned business enterprises as certified by the Supplier Diversity Office (SDO). The MBE/WBE/VBE participation benchmark reserved for such enterprises shall not be less than 8.8% MBE, 4.2% WBE and 3% VBE for all state and state-assisted construction projects over $150,000. The Workforce Participation benchmark is set at 6.9% for women and 15.3% for minorities. Bidders requiring clarification or interpretation of the Contract Documents shall make a written request for information (RFI) as specified in the Advertisement. The Awarding Authority may answer such requests if received before the bid date and/or within the time as specified in the Advertisement. The Awarding Authority has no obligation to respond to the written requests.
