WORK INCLUDED: RADIO SYSTEM RENOVATION A. Eastpointe Community Schools (Owner) is seeking bids for new and upgraded radios, associated equipment, and installation. Proposed systems shall be configured and installed to service Owner’s needs across multiple instructional and support facilities, as described herein. 1. This project is intended to include the radio and repeater system portions of the Owner’s new Communication Standards and Protocols efforts. This effort is intended to facilitate and support a more standardized and uniform communication process for all of the Owner’s administrators and support staff during both normal operational activities as well as emergency situations. 2. The system upgrade should standardize the devices deployed for radio communication to just a few models such as: a. Building Administrator Radios with multiple channels for communication between channels b. Building Radios for communication as described herein. c. Mobile Vehicle based radios d. Central command console operations center radio(s) 3. The project should be “turn-key” for the Owner and include, but not be limited to, all licensing efforts, and repeater equipment installation necessary to allow reliable, secure and consistent communication between devices in, and between buildings, in both normal and emergency operations.
