Site work and new construction of a water / sewer project in Grandview, Washington. Completed plans call for the construction of a water / sewer project; and for site work for a water / sewer project.
For the construction of the Source Well Improvements - Well Pump and Control Building including the following approximate major quantities of work: Project will include installation of a new well pump and construction of a new CMU well control building with dedicated spaces for chlorine injection and pH adjustment, air stripping treatment equipment with blower, booster pump, and associated electrical and HVAC work. Additional work includes construction of a 455-foot transmission main with fittings, connection to the existing water system, and sitework including fencing, gates, and drainage connection to the existing sewer system. This contract has one hundred twenty (120) working days to complete the work. Each bid or proposal must be accompanied by bond or a certified check, payable to the order of the Treasurer of the City of Grandview for the sum of not less than 5% of said bid or proposal and none will be considered unless accompanied by such deposit, to be forfeited to the City of Grandview in the event the successful bidder shall fail or refuse to enter into a Contract with the City for the making and construction of the aforesaid improvement. Attention is called to the fact that not less than the minimum salaries and wages as set forth in the Contract Documents must be paid on this project, and that the Contractor must ensure that employees and applicants for employment are not discriminated against because of their race, color, religion, sex, or national origin. The City of Grandview, in accordance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C. 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regulations, hereby notifies all bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that in any contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement, disadvantaged business enterprises will be afforded full and fair opportunity to submit bids in response to this invitation and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, or national origin in consideration for an award. The project is funded through the Department of Health with funds from the Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF), via the Environmental Protection Agency. American Iron and Steel (AIS) requirements apply to this project. All bidders and contractors performing work on this project must be licensed to conduct business in Washington State and meet the Bidder responsibility criteria as defined by RCW 39.04.350. All contractors must be licensed to conduct business in Washington State. The City of Grandview reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive technicalities or irregularities, and after careful consideration of all bids and factors involved, make the award to best serve the interests of the City of Grandview.
