Site work and paving for a road / highway in Edgar, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project consists of asphalt street improvements including milling, paving, and associated work on one block of Madison Avenue, Gumaer Street, West Street, and Charles Street. Work generally includes temporary traffic control and signage, milling and butt joints, milling along curb and gutter, street sweeping and cleaning, tack coat application, and asphalt paving (WisDOT Spec Type 5MT58-28S mix) compacted to an average thickness of 1.5 inches in one lift. Bidders are to provide per ton pricing for the following approximate quantities: Charles Street (1540 s.y.), West Street (1550 s.y.), Gumaer Avenue (1500 s.y.), and Madison Avenue (240 s.y.). Plans and specifications are available from the Village of Edgar. Bids must be sealed. The village reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder in accordance with Wisconsin Statutes and village ordinances. All applicable state and local requirements apply due to partial funding through the Local Roads Improvement Program (LRIP).
