Site work for a civil project in Ruston, Louisiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Separate sealed bids under two contracts will be received for the project Water Well No. 6Contract I: Distribution System, and Contract II: Water Well. The project classification is Municipal and Public Works. Contract time is 210 calendar days (Contract I) and 180 calendar days (Contract II), with liquidated damages of $400 per calendar day. Bidding documents are available for contractors who are properly licensed in Louisiana or bona fide suppliers of materials and equipment. A certified or cashiers check or a satisfactory bid bond in an amount equal to 5% of the total bid must be submitted with each bid. Both a performance bond and a payment bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price, will be required. Bids must be submitted only on proposal forms furnished by the engineer. Contractors must comply with the State Licensing Law for Contractors. The bid proposal is firm for 60 days from the opening date and cannot be withdrawn during this period. The right to reject any or all bid proposals or to waive informalities is reserved.
