Sealed bids will be received for the Construction of City of Ruston 2026 Road Project Phase I, classified under Highway, Street, and Bridge Construction. The contract time allowed is 135 calendar days with liquidated damages set at $600.00 per calendar day. Bidding documents are available to licensed contractors or bona fide suppliers at the designated engineer's office, with a $200.00 deposit per contract set, refundable to unsuccessful bidders returning documents in good condition within ten days of the bid opening. Bids may be submitted on proposal forms furnished by the engineer or electronically via www.bidexpress.com. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond equal to five percent of the total bid. Both a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each at 100 percent of the contract price, will be required. Contractors must comply with State Licensing Law for Contractors and assure all subcontractors do the same. Bids received after the specified time will not be considered. Bids are firm for forty-five days from opening, and no withdrawal is allowed during this period. The City of Ruston reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities.
