Site work and new construction of a transportation facility in Rock Falls, Illinois. Completed plans call for the construction of a 4,900-square-foot transportation facility.
Plans call for the construction of a corporate hangar and associated sitework. The Whiteside County Airport has established a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program in accordance with regulations of the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), 49 CFR Part 26. It is the policy of the Whiteside County Airport to ensure that DBEs as defined in Part 26, have an equal opportunity to receive and participate in DOT assisted contracts. The Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) goal for the project has been established at 0.0%. Compliance with the requirements of the DBE Program Goals found in Volume #1 of the Specifications is a mandatory part of the bidding process. Contract award will be based in-part upon DBE participation. Note from Stenstrom Construction: Stenstrom Construction Group is seeking Disadvantage Business Enterprises (DBE) for the construction of a new Corporate Hangar at Whiteside County Airport, Sterling/Rockfalls IL. Subcontracting opportunities include the following areas: Concrete, Finishes, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, Earthwork, Exterior Improvements, Utilities, and Special Provisions. All DBE businesses should contact, IN WRITING, (certified letter, return receipt requested), Dave Dinges of Stenstrom to discuss the subcontracting opportunities. All negotiations must be completed prior to bid opening of April 24, 2026 at 3:30 p.m.
