Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Ltd. (CNL) is seeking to pre-qualify three to five proponents for the Facilitating Electrical and Energy Distribution (FEED) Project at the Chalk River Laboratories site in Ontario. The Project involves the design development, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and integration of a new 13.8 kV looped electrical distribution system as part of an interim solution to transition site electrical loads from the new Customer Transformer Station (CTS) to multiple facilities. Work will occur within an operational, regulated environment with the requirement to maintain continuity of electrical service. Proponents must demonstrate technical capability, organizational capacity, financial strength, and relevant experience with comparable high-voltage electrical distribution or utility infrastructure projects, especially in brownfield or operational environments.
