Site work for a mixed-use development in Trenton, Georgia. Conceptual plans call for site work for a development; sidewalk / parking lot; playground / park / athletic field; water / sewer project; water / sewer project; and road / highway.
The City of Trenton is seeking qualified professional architectural and engineering firms to assist with the implementation of various general construction and repair projects. The contract solicitation is for engaging qualified teams to deliver these services independently, professionally, and comprehensively. Firms should have strong records of providing architectural services to local governments in Georgia, including experience with Federally Assisted Projects. The engagement period is anticipated to be 24 months, with separate work orders for each project. The City may select different consulting or engineering firms for each project. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, concept report preparation and validation, utility plans, preparation of displays for public meetings, surveys and mapping, preliminary construction plans, final right-of-way plans (including staking), erosion control plans, water and wastewater infrastructure design and construction plans, structural plans, permit assistance, and final construction plans. Typical projects may include landscaping, water, storm water and wastewater engineering and planning, small transportation projects (such as paths/trails), pedestrian sidewalks to schools and downtown, and recreational site development. Instructions to bidders include submitting an original and four copies of the proposal with the following sections: Cover, Table of Contents, Qualifications (firm history, experience, key personnel), Scope and Methodology (approach, level of service, organizational chart), Ability to Complete the Project (workload, financial strength, litigation history), Budget and Fees (rate schedule, cost approach), and proof of authorization to do business in Georgia. Additional information may be included in an appendix, limited to 10 pages. Proposals must be enclosed in a sealed envelope clearly marked as specified, and submitted by the stated deadline. Incomplete proposals may not be considered if significant omissions are determined.
