The water softener system must be equal to or better than the attached specification sheet. The scope of work includes providing a vertical pressure type water softener system complete with pressure vessel, softening resin, control valve, brine maker, and electronic controller. The system must be of an approved design fabricated by a manufacturer regularly engaged in the production of water treatment equipment, with all equipment and materials supplied in compliance with the specifications to ensure a complete and fully operational system. Qualified manufacturers must have been engaged in the manufacture of this type of equipment for a period of not less than fifty years. Acceptable manufacturers include Culligan International Company or the Engineers approved equal. The entire softener system must be certified to NSF/ANSI 61, NSF/ANSI 372, CSA 483.1, UL/CUL, and CE standards. Field services shall include the availability of a factory-authorized service representative to maintain and inspect the system and to provide regular interval service training as required for proper system operation.
