Remodeling of a recreation facility in Gonzales, Louisiana. Completed plans call for the remodel of a 70,714-square-foot recreation facility.
This project will consist of the refinishing of the floor at the Lamar-Dixon Expo Center Rev Center building in six areas. Areas include interior and exterior flooring of the building. Work may include demolition of existing flooring, mending all pits and cracks, and any other surface preparations required for finished products over approximately 63,771 square feet. All bids must comply with contract documents available at the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department. Bid documents and drawings may be obtained from the same location. No contract documents will be issued to anyone except a licensed contractor or their authorized representatives, and no documents be issued later than seventy-two hours before the bid deadline. Each bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope bearing the name of the bidder, address, contractor's state license number, and the project name. If mailing the bid, the sealed bid envelope must be placed in another envelope addressed to the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department and mailed via certified mail. Bids must be received by the designated deadline. Bid security in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid, payable to the owner, must accompany each bid. The owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids. Bidders may not withdraw their bid within forty-five days after the bid opening. Electronic bids and electronic bid bonds must be submitted through the parish-approved online bid site prior to the electronic bidding deadline. A copy of the bid bond must be attached to the electronic bid, and the original must be received in the purchasing office within 48 hours of the bid opening. All addenda and clarifications will be posted online. It is the bidder's responsibility to check for updates and notices.
