The work consists of a design-build-to-budget project to construct a Staging and Marshaling Area in support of Fort Campbell's Power Projection Platform. The project includes construction of an approximately 8,000 square foot Readiness Building and a 400-foot by 300-foot Deployment Readiness Line. The total area will be paved with concrete and include fencing, lighting, and clearly identified Readiness Lines. The paved area will be used for staging and storage of vehicles and equipment that have been pre-inspected and certified to meet Air Force requirements, allowing them to be prepared and ready for aircraft loading on short notice. All facilities will be designed for a minimum 40-year service life in accordance with Department of Defense Unified Facilities Criteria, including requirements for energy efficiency, building envelope performance, and integrated building systems.
