Sealed bids are requested for landscape improvements at Las Colinas Middle School, 5750 Fieldcrest Dr, Camarillo, as specified in the provided drawings and specifications. The contract duration is twenty calendar days, with liquidated damages for delay. To qualify, contractors and subcontractors must be registered and qualified under Labor Code section 1725.5 for projects over $25,000. All bids must be sealed and filed at the Pleasant Valley School District Administration Office. Bids must be accompanied by a bond, cashier's check, or certified check amounting to at least ten percent of the base bid. The successful bidder must provide a Payment Bond and a Faithful Performance Bond, each for one hundred percent of the Contract Sum. Bidders must possess a Class A or C-27 license and be licensed to do business in California. A public works contractor registration number must be stated for each subcontractor performing more than 0.5% of the total bid. There will be a mandatory pre-bid site visit. The lowest bid is determined solely on the amount of the base bid. Contractors must pay prevailing wage rates as established by the State of California. All public works contractor requirements, bid submission rules, and bond/escrow substitution provisions are specified. Only sealed, timely bids from qualified, licensed contractors will be considered. Facsimile copies are not accepted. Bidders not attending the mandatory pre-bid site visit will be disqualified.
