The project is for the construction/installation of a new pedestrian walkway at Rancho Campana High School, including a railing, fencing, and gate. The scope includes all equipment, materials, tools, and expertise needed for completion. Contractors must have a CSLB-issued license with classification B or C-8. Bids must be submitted electronically and must include bid security in hard copy by the due date and time. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit is required for all bidders. The contract will be awarded based on the lowest total base bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered with the DIR and pay prevailing wages. The project is subject to labor law compliance monitoring and enforcement, and the successful bidder must post required job-site notices. PTN: 72546-137 APPL: 03-125943 Bidder Clarification Requests must be submitted only to annmarie@dagk12.com Bidder Clarification Request Deadline 5/19/26 10:00 a.m. The Contractor shall furnish all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supervision, and incidentals necessary to complete a New Walkway, Railing, Fencing and Gate at Rancho Campana High School. Work shall be executed for long-term durability and aesthetic consistency while minimizing disruption to campus operations. All work must meet or exceed industry standards and comply with District safety, environmental, and construction requirements. The anticipated duration is approximately 67 calendar days, to be performed from July 02, 2026, through September 07, 2026. The estimated construction cost is $ 200,000. The site walk shall be considered a material and essential component of the bidding process, and bidders shall rely on the site walk, site map, and field verification to confirm existing conditions, limits of work, access constraints, and application requirements prior to submitting a bid. 1. Existing Conditions Verification Verify and check all grades, elevations, dimensions and existing conditions of installation prior to providing Bid. Ensure no irrigation lines, pull boxes, utility covers are in the way of work. 2. Site Preparation, Shoring, and Compaction Shoring, bracing, compaction of existing areas necessary to accommodate New Walkway, Railing and Fencing & Gate. 3. Demolition, Excavation, and Material Removal Remove any demolition material, soil per plans and specifications. If fill material will be required, Contractor shall follow established protocols and obtain permission of Owner's Representative. 4. Concrete, Railing, Fencing, and Gate Installation Place concrete, railings, fencing, gates and other incidentals according to the plans and specifications. Ensure all final elevations are true and that they meet the vertical and horizontal elevations to meet Path of Travel requirements as indicated in the Flewelling & Moody General Notes. 5. Protection of Existing Improvements Contractor is fully responsible for repair or replacement of any items damaged during the course of work. 6. Worksite Management and Safety Contractor responsibilities include: o Maintain clean, secure, and organized work areas o All personnel must comply with OSHA, Cal/OSHA, and District safety policies o Coordinate scheduling with the site administrator o Work must avoid disruption to school operations (off-hours or weekend work may be required) o Post signage and restrict access to active work zones
