Furnish all labor, material, and equipment for Miami County's Swailes Road Bridge No. 02.48 Replacement Project according to specifications on file in the Miami County Engineer's Office. Bids shall be on a unit price basis and must be submitted in writing on proposal blanks furnished by the Miami County Engineer. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable, use Ohio products, materials, services, and labor. Contractor compliance with equal employment opportunity (EEO) requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor's Executive Orders of 1972 and 84-9, is required. Bidders must be prequalified with the Ohio Department of Transportation for appropriate work types. The minimum wage to be paid to all classes of labor employed on this contract shall conform to the Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements as determined by the Department of Industrial Relations. Pursuant to Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code, a bid guaranty must be submitted as a guarantee that the bidder, if successful, will enter into a contract. The bid guaranty must be either a bond for the full amount of the bid or a certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in an amount equal to 10% of the bid.
