Site work for a water / sewer project in Junction City, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of providing all labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary for the installation of a new municipal water main. The major work items include installation of approximately 660 feet of 8-inch water main, water services, valves, and hydrants. The main is under a rural section of roadway, so the project scope also includes culverts, road base, and Hot Mix Asphalt Pavement replacement, ditch and grass restoration, and traffic control. Bids will be received for a single prime contract on a unit price basis as indicated in the Bid Form. Bids must be submitted electronically via QuestCDN.com, and all prospective bidders must be on the plan holders list through Quest CDN for bids to be accepted. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid. Bidders will be required to provide performance and payment bonds of 100 percent of the bid amount. The contract is expected to be funded in part by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, Safe Drinking Water Loan Program, which requires the use of American iron and steel. The successful bidder must conform to federal Davis-Bacon and Related Acts wage requirements. Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action requirements apply. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the contract in the best interest of the Owner. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda delivered to all registered plan holders. Questions received less than seven days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
