Site work for a water / sewer project in Decatur, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes the replacement of existing water mains and lead or galvanized steel water service lines on Monroe Street and 2nd Street. The work includes installation of approximately 4,750 linear feet of water main ranging from 4-inch to 12-inch in diameter, 100 linear feet of 12-inch diameter water main railroad crossing, abandonment of existing water mains, replacement of existing service lines from the City owned water main to premise plumbing within each home and business, reconnection of water service lines, replacement of fire hydrants, and all other work required for the completion of the project as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings. The project is designed to utilize horizontal directional drilling for the installation of the new water mains and water service lines. Bids will be received for a single prime contract. Bids shall be as shown in the Bid Form. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders that are included in the Bidding Documents. QA date - 5-5-2026 Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents to Engineer in writing.
