Site work for a water / sewer project in Decatur, Indiana. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project; and water / sewer project.
The project is for the replacement of existing water mains and lead or galvanized steel water service lines on Adams Street and Elm Street, as well as the installation of a new water main on Winchester Road. The work includes installing approximately 8,600 linear feet of water main ranging from 4-inch to 12-inch diameter, 86 linear feet of 12-inch diameter water main under a railroad crossing, abandonment of existing water mains, replacement of existing service lines from the City-owned water main to premise plumbing within each home and business, reconnection of water service lines, replacement of fire hydrants, and all other work required for project completion as described in the specifications and shown on the drawings. The installation uses open cutting for water mains and horizontal directional drilling for water service lines. Bids will be received for a single prime contract as shown in the Bid Form. Contract Documents, Specifications, and Drawings are available only through the specified web-based service, with no partial sets available. Bid security is required in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. For further requirements regarding bid submittal, qualifications, procedures, and contract award, refer to the Instructions to Bidders included in the Bidding Documents. The OWNER retains the right to reject any or all bids, accept any bid or combination of bids, and waive informalities in bidding. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for a period of 90 days. Bidder is required to visit the Site and conduct a thorough visual examination of the Site and adjacent areas.
