Rough mowing and fire precaution mowing services are required within Willamette Valley Project locations in western Oregon. Rough mowing areas are managed as open grassland to benefit wildlife and plants and are typically mowed once per year in the fall to maintain open vegetation and prevent encroachment by trees, shrubs, and blackberry canes. Fire precaution mowing includes managing lines and entire areas prior to fire season, with mowing performed just before the start of the fire season. The Contractor shall complete mowing within the specified windows, weather permitting, and perform all work between July 1, 2026, and November 15, 2026, under appropriate conditions. The contract covers approximately 177.7 acres, consisting of 30 rough mowing units across five reservoirs and 28 fire mowing lines at two reservoirs. The work also includes optional rough mowing units that may be exercised at the Government's discretion, adding additional acreage and units in designated reservoir areas.
