The project consists of clearing and grubbing at Site 1 and Site 6 in Port Bienville Industrial Park, Hancock County, Mississippi. The Base Bid involves clearing and grubbing approximately 90 acres with associated erosion control. Additive Alternate No. 1 involves clearing and grubbing an additional approximately 25 acres with associated erosion control. The contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials required by the specifications and referenced drawings. The work must commence within 10 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Substantial completion is required within 180 consecutive calendar days for the Base Bid and an additional 60 consecutive calendar days for Add Alternate No. 1. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and possess a current Certificate of Responsibility from the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors. The Certificate of Responsibility Number must be included on the bid envelope or the electronic bid submittal cover page and profile. Bids must be sealed and deposited with the Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission before the designated hour and date. No bid may be withdrawn within 60 days after opening. Each bid must be accompanied by a Bid Bond equal to 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide a Payment Bond and Performance Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract amount.
