Site work and paving for an industrial development in Kiln, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a industrial development.
The project generally consists of the construction of two asphalt staging lanes along Webre Road at Port Bienville Industrial Park. The work includes, but is not limited to, laying asphalt, installing stone, grading ditches, and performing other miscellaneous tasks. The Contractor is responsible for performing all work and furnishing all plant, labor, equipment, and materials as required by the specifications and drawings. Proposals must be submitted in duplicate, sealed, and deposited with the Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission prior to the designated deadline. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of opening. Each bidder must deposit a Bid Bond equal to 5% of their bid, payable to the Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission, as bid security. The successful bidder must furnish a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract amount. Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law and show a current Certificate of Responsibility issued by the Mississippi State Board of Public Contractors, indicating their classification for the value and type of construction. Those submitting a written sealed bid must write their Certificate of Responsibility Number on the outside of the sealed envelope and on the bid itself. For electronic submissions, the Certificate of Responsibility Number must be included on the cover page and profile of the bid submittal. Bid documents are available via paper or digital copy and must be purchased through the designated website. All interested bidders must register for an account with a valid email address to view and order the documents. Minority and women’s business enterprises are encouraged to participate and to inquire about potential subcontracting, equipment, materials, and supply needs. Disadvantaged and women’s business enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against based on race, color, or national origin.
