Site work and paving for a transportation facility in Kiln, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a transportation facility; and for paving for a transportation facility.
Rehabilitation of the taxiway pavements including but not limited to mill and overlay of Taxiway A and connector taxiways, isolated base repairs as needed, taxiway edge drop restoration including imported fill and sod, and raising taxiway edge lights as needed. The contract time for the base bid is 145 consecutive calendar days to reach Substantial Completion. Liquidated damages in the amount of $1,000.00 per calendar day will be assessed for each calendar day thereafter, and $1,500.00 per 15-minute interval of runway closure past scheduled opening. Bids must be sealed or submitted electronically, clearly stating: "Sealed bid enclosed for Hancock County Port & Harbor Commission Rehabilitate Taxiway A to be opened 10:30 AM, May 28th, 2026." Bidders must be qualified under Mississippi Law, show a current Certificate of Responsibility, and submit their bids on the standard form. Each bid must include a Bid Bond for 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder will be required to execute the standard form of Contract and Agreement, along with a 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Payment Bond, within 10 days of award. If submitting electronically, the original bid bond must be delivered to the Owner within 48 hours of bid opening. Bids are valid for 90 calendar days after closing time. The project is subject to the Davis-Bacon Act and the contractor must comply with wage and labor provisions. The project and award are subject to federal requirements, including compliance with the Civil Rights Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, the Buy American Preferences, and other federal statutes and regulations regarding nondiscrimination, labor, and materials procurement. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids and to waive informalities or irregularities.
