Demolition and renovation of an office development in Lake Ariel, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a office development; and office development.
The scope of work includes the demolition of portions of the existing building (formerly Liberty Restaurant), along with the construction of the multi-purpose business building shell that will utilize the existing foundations and steel framing. Work will include foundation repair, structural steel replacement or repair, wood framing for exterior walls, floor, and roof, as well as windows, doors, siding, and related tasks. The work must be completed in accordance with the plans and specifications prepared by KBA Engineering, p.c. General construction is included. Sealed bids are to be submitted for the prime contract. A certified check, certified bank treasurer's check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the bid amount, made payable to Lake Township, must accompany the bid. Successful bidders will be required to furnish performance and labor and material bonds acceptable to Lake Township. A Non-Collusion Affidavit of Contractor and a no-lien agreement will also be required. All proposals must be irrevocable for sixty days after the bid opening, and a 10% bid guaranty must be included. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities. Prevailing wages as established under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act will apply, and equal employment opportunity requirements must be followed. All workers must be paid the proper wages for their job according to the Wage and Hour Schedule in the specifications.
