The work consists of a single prime contract for airport terminal renovations. Work generally includes removal and lawful disposal of existing walls, ceilings, flooring, mechanical items, electrical items, fire protection items, plumbing items, and other related items. It also includes provision of new walls, ceilings, flooring, mechanical, electrical, fire protection, plumbing systems, and other miscellaneous items described within the contract documents, complete and ready for use and in compliance with the latest codes and regulations. This project is subject to the PA Prevailing Wage Rate regulations and contractors will be required to pay the prevailing wage as indicated within the schedules. All bids must be irrevocable for a period of ninety (90) days after the bid opening date. All bids shall be accompanied by a ten percent (10%) bid guaranty, payable to the Schuylkill County Airport Authority and an acceptable agreement of surety. Bid security shall only be in the form of a certified check or bid bond. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Labor & Materials Payment Bond, each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. A one-year Maintenance Bond shall also be required for 10% of the final contract amount at project closeout. Bidders must ensure non-discrimination in employment. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any technicalities and informalities in the bid and to consider the competency and responsibility of the bidders in awarding the contract. All requests for bid documents must be in writing with all required information. Bid packages will only be issued in digital format and require a non-refundable service fee. QA date - 5-1-2026 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be directed to Design Professional. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Design Professional in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Design Professional as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered.
