Demolition and renovation of an educational facility in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

The scope is to obtain pricing information for John Winthrop Elementary School Renovation Phase 1 - Enabling, Demolition & Abatement. Bidders must be familiar with all bid requirements, including wages, insurance, bond forms, and contract compliance. The project is covered by a Project Labor Agreement and is open to all bidders; all applicable terms must be complied with. DAS Certification and Update Statement are required with submission for the identified category. The bid price must be firm fixed and valid through September 30, 2026. Plans and specifications may be purchased, and digital sets are available for a fee. A mandatory pre-bid conference must be attended for bid submission eligibility. A ten percent bid bond is required for bids of $100,000 or more. Successful bidders must provide payment and performance bonds for the full contract price if $100,000 or more. Contractors must submit certificates of insurance, be licensed in Connecticut, and ensure all employees are certified and qualified. Out of state bidders must supply a Certificate of Authority to Do Business in Connecticut within five days of intent to award. Contractors are responsible for safety, obtaining and paying for permits, and must have valid SAM, DUNS, CT, and Federal Tax ID numbers before work begins. Prohibition of assignment or transfer of the contract without prior written consent. Prevailing wage rates apply to bids over $100,000. Submission requires original, two copies, and an electronic copy via thumb drive in a sealed envelope marked as specified. No online submissions are accepted. Submission deadline and delivery instructions must be strictly followed. Late submissions will not be accepted and all associated delivery costs are the responsibility of the bidder. The awarded contractor will be required to submit non-collusion affidavits and a No Conflicts/Disclosure Form. The City reserves all rights to reject or accept bids, to make multiple awards, and to change dates and terms as needed. All City contract terms, payment terms, public record policies, and open competition rules apply. The City will not award contracts to suspended or debarred parties and compliance with relevant federal regulations is required.
