The Trust for Public Land, in partnership with the City of Bridgeport, seeks to advance climate resilience, ecological restoration, and public access along the Yellow Mill Channel, specifically focusing on the underutilized parcel beneath Interstate 95 along Waterview Avenue. The purpose is to revitalize the area to create a safe, welcoming, and ecologically sound waterfront access point. The scope includes advancing feasibility analysis and conceptual design to assess community-informed strategies for shoreline stabilization, flood mitigation, green infrastructure, and safe waterfront access. This project will address technical, structural, drainage, and jurisdictional complexities and require coordination with the Connecticut Department of Transportation. The selected company must provide planning services supporting climate resilience and sustainability, in line with the Comprehensive Conservation and Management Plan and the PERSISTS Criteria. Proposals must be submitted through the HuskyBuy Portal and follow all instructions regarding Requests for Information, clarifications, and addenda.
