The City of Bridgeport seeks bids for the Newfield Boat Ramp Construction. Electronic submissions must be made through the City's e-Procurement Portal, OpenGov. The City of Bridgeport seeks Bids/Proposals for Newfield Boat Ramp Construction. The Newfield boat ramp, located at 421 Seaview Avenue, is currently in disrepair and will need to be reconstructed. The existing ramp and associated support structures will first need to be removed. This includes the removal of support floats and excavation to remove sediment, stone block wall, and pavement for upland disposal. Following demolition, a new 41' x 88' boat ramp will need to be constructed and installed to four feet below mean low water (-7.6' NAVD88). Reconstruction includes the following activities: A. grade to place geotextile fabric and crushed stone base; B. install a concrete headwall; C. drive a 64 linear foot sheet pile wall on the western edge of the ramp to replace the existing concrete block; D. install pre-cast concrete planks and curbing; a stone revetment at a slope of 3:1 along the western edge of the ramp; and, a 4' wide scour pad at the base of the ramp; and, E. place five 10'x20' floats supported by five 1' piles to be attached via a transition plate from an existing concrete landing.
