Site work for an educational facility in Merced, California. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
The project includes the installation of a cattle fence separating the Field Education and Research Center from the open land. The project also requires a concrete pad to support a bronze topographic map. Requests for clarification must be in writing and received by April 15, 2026 no later than 4:00PM. Questions received after the above-noted deadline may be answered at the discretion of the University's Representative. Scope of Work: The project includes installation of a cattle fence and new concrete pad to support the bronze topographic map per drawings A. Base work includes: a. Contractor shall provide all materials, equipment & labor to perform the Work outlined in the drawings. Contractor shall have a B license. b. Cattle fence shall be steel pipe fence with 2 3/8" line post and top rail. 3/8" cables shall be attached to the posts, 5 cables total. c. Fence shall include 20 foot sliding gate and 8 foot swing gate. Both gates must be able to be padlocked. d. Contractor shall provide a shop drawing and product data of fence material for University approval showing gate locations and exact fence location prior to installation. University has 18 calendar days to review and approve the submittal. University has 14 calendar days to respond to any RFIs post-award. e. Contractor is responsible for providing a safety plan for University approval prior to work. f. Before commencing work, Contractor shall submit a schedule of proposed operations for University's approval identifying material submittals, University review of each submittal, delivery lead times and construction activities. Alternate 1 Work includes: a. Contractor shall provide a 20 foot double swing gate instead of 20 foot sliding gate. b. University reserves the right to accept this Alternate within 30 calendars after the date University signs the agreement c. No extension of time will be granted if this alternate is accepted.
