Homes in Jennings County, Indiana, will be rehabilitated using Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds, with each home eligible to receive up to $25,000 in improvements. Each property will be bid individually for accurate and project-specific cost estimates. The scope of work includes roof repair or replacement, HVAC system replacement, and water heater replacement. Accessibility improvements, such as installation of ramps and handrails, may be included. Radon mitigation systems may be installed if elevated levels are identified through testing by a licensed home inspector. Persons interested in placement on the bidders list must submit their name, company name, phone number, address, email, and Federal ID number or Social Security number to the specified contact. Contractors must meet all county and state licensing requirements and provide proof of adequate liability insurance and workmen’s compensation coverage for the construction period. Liability policies must include coverage for work performed by the contractor during the construction period.
