The project is for the new Marinette City Hall and Police Department in Marinette, WI. The work consists of renovation and addition at the Wisconsin Army National Guard Building located at 2000 Mary Street, Marinette. The construction will consist of an 18,522 square foot renovation, a 7,500 square foot office building addition, and a 5,530 square foot garage. As of May 8, 2026, a general contractor has been selected for this project. A firm construction timeline for this project has not yet been released. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 10% of the amount bid, payable to the City of Marinette, as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award. The certified check or bid bond will be returned to the bidder as soon as the contract is signed, and if after 15 days the bidder fails to do so, the certified check or bid bond shall be forfeited as liquidated damages. All bids submitted must be guaranteed for at least sixty (60) days following the date of bid opening. All bids must be submitted on the provided forms, in a sealed opaque envelope or box, clearly marked for the IFB number and project description, and mailed or hand-delivered to the City Clerk's Office. The City of Marinette reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, to waive informalities in the bidding procedure, and to award the contract to the bidder who, in the opinion of the City, will be most advantageous to the City.
