The project consists of site excavation and grading, turf restoration, storm sewer, asphalt paths, concrete sidewalks, basketball and pickleball courts including asphalt paving, court surfacing, pavement markings, fencing, and sporting equipment, prefabricated restroom building installation including new water, sanitary, and electrical services, pathway lighting and miscellaneous electrical installation, pavement markings, and open-air shelters. No proposal will be accepted unless accompanied by a certified check or bid bond equal to at least 5% of the amount bid, payable to the Owner as a guarantee that, if the bid is accepted, the bidder will execute and file the proper contract and bond within 15 days after the award of the contract. No bidder may withdraw their bid within 60 days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, Minority-owned Business Enterprises, and Women's Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit bid proposals. The Contractor must maximize the use of iron and steel goods, products, and materials produced in the United States, and comply with Federal Davis Bacon Wage Rates. The Contractor shall conform to statutory requirements known as "Build America, Buy America" which applies to all of the iron, steel, manufactured products, and construction materials used in the project. The Owner reserves the right to waive any informalities or to reject any or all bids.
