Description

Site work and paving for a road / highway in New Haven, Connecticut. Conceptual plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.

The City of New Haven is seeking Statements of Qualifications (SOQ) to engage a Consulting Engineering Firm or Consulting Team to provide Design and Construction Engineering Services for a transportation project along the Chapel Street corridor. Selection will be based on professional competence and experience; cost will not be an evaluation factor at this stage. The Chapel Street corridor was selected based on crash data indicating it has the third-highest number of fatalities, the highest number of serious injuries, the highest number of crashes among all city-owned streets, and a higher fatal and serious injury rate than any other city-owned street. Chapel Street also intersects multiple high-injury network corridors and is one of only two corridors linking several historically disadvantaged neighborhoods to and through the city’s urban core.
