The project involves the installation of Residential Sound Mitigation in residential buildings, including all associated materials, at various locations near the airport. The contract includes a pre-construction coordination period in which the contractor will receive an initial notice to proceed with procurement, followed by a fourteen-day period to view residences and take measurements. Once residence site visits are complete, the contractor will initiate submittals and material procurement. A separate notice to proceed for construction will be issued, with the construction contract period set at sixty calendar days and an additional fourteen calendar days allowed per parcel. Once work commences at any parcel, the fourteen-day duration for that parcel begins and must proceed continuously until completion. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the project and bidder information. All bids must be accompanied by a proposal surety as described in the instructions to bidders. The proposal surety of the three lowest responsible bidders will be retained until contracts and bonds are signed; all others will be returned or released as soon as practical.
