Renovation and addition to a municipal facility in New Haven, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility; and 700-square-foot municipal facility.
The project involves the renovation and addition to an existing animal shelter. The scope of work includes concrete trenching and patching, masonry modifications with lintels, select interior and exterior removals, and modifications to plumbing, HVAC, and electrical systems related to interior renovations. Interior renovations encompass restrooms, a break room, cat isolation room, laundry, grooming and disinfection rooms, along with new acoustical panel ceilings, lighting, and HVAC throughout the facility. The addition is approximately 700 square feet and features cast-in-place concrete walls, wood joist roof framing, and is constructed into a slope at the rear of the building. The addition includes storage, dishwashing, and veterinary exam rooms. Exterior components of work include a concrete sidewalk and chain-link fencing. Details on the HVAC design and structural equipment support will be included in an addendum.
