Site work for a military facility in Fort Riley, Kansas. Completed plans call for site work for a military facility.
Replacement of in-ground fi ber optic cable at Douthit Gunnery Range, including excavation, removal, installation, and restoration activities. The work consists of digging trenches to access existing fiber optic cable located approximately 4 to 6 feet below grade, removing the old cable, installing new fiber optic cable, and backfilling and restoring the excavated areas. Construction will be performed at two separate locations within the range. The first location involves approximately 80 meters of fiber optic cable replacement, and the second location involves approximately 70 meters of fiber optic cable replacement. In addition, the second location requires repair of an existing junction block and replacement of the associated fan-out kit. All work must be coordinated to occur during periods when the Gunnery Complex is not in use and may be required to begin immediately at the start of the contract period of performance. The contract is firm-fixed-price and non-severable, with payment made after completion of all required services.
