Renovation of an elderly care / assisted living facility in Kokomo, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a elderly care / assisted living facility.
The work consists of interior and exterior renovations as required by the bidding documents, agreement between owner and contractor, general conditions, special conditions in the bidding documents, specifications, and drawings. The project is to be completed under a unified bid awarded to a general contractor who submits a complete bid as detailed in the documents. Bids must be submitted on the forms provided in the bid package and contain the names of all interested parties. Bids must be accompanied by Revised Form No. 96 (including a financial statement, experience statement, proposed plans for performing the work, and available equipment), and a bid bond or certified check in the amount of 10% of the total bid. The successful contractor is required to provide a performance bond and a payment bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price. Contractors must comply with state antidiscrimination laws, and all out-of-state corporations must have authority to do business in the state. The owner reserves the right to reject or cancel bids in whole or in part and waive irregularities as deemed in the owner's best interest.
