Site work and new construction of a playground / park / athletic field in Lynbrook, New York. Completed plans call for the construction of a playground / park / athletic field.
This project is for the supply and installation of a hockey rink canopy. It is the Village's objective to receive bids for the design, fabrication and construction of a steel canopy structure for an existing outdoor Hockey Rink of approximately 120 feet by 220 feet at Greis Veterans Memorial Park, 55 Wilbur St, Lynbrook, NY 11563. Contract Award to be on or about May 18, 2026; work to start within 30 calendar days and be completed by December 31, 2026. The intent of the Project is to construct a durable, open-sided, steel-framed canopy with a gable roof system with lighting and fans, designed to provide all-weather coverage while accommodating integrated systems such as for future heating, and audio equipment to be installed by the Village. The canopy must: o Cover the rink surface, player benches, and spectator areas o Meet all applicable New York State Building Code, structural, and safety requirements o Be engineered for long-term durability and minimal maintenance o Be constructed with minimal disruption to park operations The work shall be completed in three (3) sequential phases: 1. Phase 1 - Site Investigation, Measurement, and Engineering Design 2. Phase 2 - Steel Fabrication and Delivery 3. Phase 3 - Construction and Installation The estimated canopy footprint is approximately 120 feet by 220 feet, subject to field verification by the successful bidder.
