The Work, officially known as "2026 Lake in the Hills Sanitary District Sewer Lining", consists of the installation of approximately 5900 feet of cured-in-place pipe, sewer service reinstatement, lateral grouting, and protruding service repair. The Work also includes miscellaneous work required to accomplish the modifications. The Contract letting shall be subject to the applicable provisions of the Illinois Statutes. In connection with the performance of work under this contract, the Contractor agrees not to discriminate against any employees or applicant for employment because of age, race, religion, color, handicap, sex, physical condition, developmental disability, or national origin. This provision shall include, but not be limited to, the following: employment, upgrading, demotion, or transfer; recruitment or recruitment advertising; layoff and termination; rates of pay or other forms of compensation; selection for training, including apprenticeship. The Contractor further agrees to post in conspicuous places, available for employees and applicants for employment, notices setting forth the provisions of this non-discrimination clause. Bids shall be accompanied by a certified or bank check or a Bid Bond on the prescribed form payable to the Owner in an amount not less than 5% of the Total Lump Sum Bid as guarantee, that if the Bid is accepted, the Bidder will execute and file the Agreement, Bid Bonds will be accepted electronically, and MUST be uploaded on the QuestCDN.com site. Performance and Payment Bonds, and Insurance Certifications, as required by the Contract Documents, within 15 days after the Notice of Award. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, waive any informalities in bidding or to accept the Bid or Bids, which best serve the interests of Owner. No Bid shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the scheduled opening of the Bids without the consent of the Owner.
