Site work and paving for a road / highway in Nazareth, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project consists of roadway reconstruction, including excavation, backfill, milling and overlay, paving, full-depth reconstruction, pavement markings and signing, storm sewer, labor, equipment, materials, and all other associated work listed and as indicated on the contract plans. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check drawn to the order of Lower Nazareth Township or a Bid Bond in favor of Lower Nazareth Township in the amount of 10% of the total bid price. Said check or bond shall be subject to the conditions in the Instructions to Bidders. The work on this project constitutes Public Works by a Public Body under the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act, requiring that workers be paid the prevailing minimum wage rates promulgated by the Pennsylvania Secretary of Labor. All Bidders must be PennDOT prequalified as Prime Contractors and in the specific PennDOT Work Class Codes that constitute at least 50% of the project. The project will be constructed in conformance with PennDOT Publication 408 (latest edition) and the project Technical Provisions. No bid may be withdrawn within sixty (60) days of the opening date.
